🗒️ June 9 Workshop: Imposter Syndrome and your Integrated Leadership 🗒️

Published 12 months ago • 1 min read

Hi Reader,

Most of my clients and people I support have experienced imposter syndrome in some form or other. It hit me super hard earlier this week when through a series of events, I was the sole speaker at SF Tech Week to talk about the future of AI and tech careers. I could feel all the feels — I'm not qualified to do this. Who am I to talk to data scientists and VCs about AI? They're going to all learn that I'm a fraud — and, it turned out okay as I share in this blog post on Lessons from 'the Future of Tech Careers and AI' Panel. Many times it does turn okay if we keep on moving, one small step at a time.

One of my best friends and fellow leadership coach, Irene Salter (she's got a PhD in neuroscience, people!) and I run many programs together including a women's leadership retreat called The Heroine's Journey. From our years of coaching and decades of work in science and design, we've developed a framework for the five facets of integrated leadership that helps you achieve sustainable success. We'll walk through this framework and do a deeper dive into actionable strategies for how to work with imposter syndrome and your inner critics.

We initially created this workshop specifically for the heroines who are joining us this September for our women's leadership retreat, but decided the content was too valuable to keep it secret. So come join us, invite a friend and let's get better with impostor syndrome. And yes, all genders are welcome.

The last time I've offered a free workshop was in December of 2022 to help leaders set their intention word for 2023, so jump on in to register so you don't miss out.

Register for the free Imposter Syndrome workshop on June 9, 11am - noon PST.

Wishing you space,
Tutti

Hi Reader, Happy solstice! It's the longest night and shortest day of the year here in San Francisco. As a pragmatic optimist, I love looking forward to the coming days which only get more light with each passing day. Today, Irene Salter and I held our workshop on Creating Your 2024 Intention. We deliberately spent the first hour teaching actionable techniques that invoke introspection for 2023 as well as looking forward to 2024, including a mixture of neuroscience of goal-setting,...

Hi Reader, WTF, you might be thinking. Why is she already rushing us onto 2024? When I’m struggling right now and trying to simply get through the hecticness of December and crawl to the finish line of 2023. Or perhaps that’s my own inner critic talking? Wherever the voice comes from, I choose to embrace intention setting as a form of investing in my future self. And to respect calendars, I’m sending out this early invitation to join me and Irene Salter on December 21st so we can collectively...

Hi Reader, People often ask me how I transitioned my career out of design leadership into coaching. I tell them this story of working with my very first executive coach. About ten years ago, I was on the leadership team of a consulting company and the CEO gave me a harsh piece of feedback. We had high trust, so his message (eventually) resonated with me even as I felt the immediate sting of his words: “You’re smart, passionate and clients love you co-creating visions for their products. Yet...
